Lavender

There are 28 species of Lavender and they are part of the mint family. These evergreen shrubs are known for their strong fragrance and leaves with aromatic oils. The grey-green leaves are quite thin and needle like. Their blooms are purple, pink or cream in an oval shape on top. They work great as hedges and can be put into containers too. Position somewhere in the full sunshine as they perform best in that area. Lavender can grow in a lot of different soils just as long as the soil is well-drained.
