Hydrangea

Hydrangea are reliable shrubs that produce a fantastic display every Summer with clusters of pink, blue or white flowers that are hard to miss. Their large leaves give a lush feeling and liven up any corner of the garden.  Now with breeders producing smaller plants and different coloured varieties they are among the showiest of Summer – Autumn flowering plants. Intensity of the flower colour will vary depending on the soil pH. This can be altered by using ‘pinking’ or blueing’ fertilisers. Hydrangea prefers morning sun and afternoon shade, however, they do not do well in heavy shade. Suitable for large pots or containers.
