About the company

Van Berkel distributors has been family owned since the 1950’s and is a leader in the horticultural and distributing business. Our warehouse and nursery is located in Monbulk, Victoria along with a flower bulb farm in Healesville, Victoria. We are a large and exciting business with great product diversity.

We are looking to develop our team. We value hard working, reliable and driven individuals that will join our family owned business.

You will receive calls from customers calling through regarding their Garden Express orders and product enquiries. You will build rapport, and provide a positive customer experience, whilst effectively resolving their enquiry.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Build authentic relationships with customers, assessing each situation on an individual basis
• Manage inbound calls and outbound calls to resolve enquires, and concerns
• Manage inbound and outbound emails to resolve enquires, and concerns
• Accurately record detailed customer interactions and process account information
• Accurately manage customer expectations

Essential criteria

• Excellent communication skills, ability to listen, empathise, respect and enjoy general chit chat!
• Passionate about customer service and helping others
• Open to learning new skills
• Exhibit resilience, and techniques to allow you to perform at your best
• Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to easily navigate computer systems
• You have a solution based mind-set, always ready to resolve a problem
• Availability to work Tuesday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm 

Desirable

• Previous customer service experience

* Public transport is not easily accessible in Monbulk therefore you must have your own transport.
