Beta vulgaris
These seeds are carefully spaced in biodegradable paper to allow even spacing and virtually eliminate the seed for thinning. This is undoubtedly the finest beet to sow early because of its resistance to bolting (running to seed). The flavour is delicious and the beets are evenly shaped with good colour and texture.

The seed tape makes planting a breeze as seeds are pre-placed. They germinate in the usual way and the paper tape will dissolve over time. Simply roll out the tape into the prepared area or container, cut to desired length and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist. 5 metres of tape.

Heritage variety. An interesting tasty mix of varieties of many colours including brown, purple, gold, orange, green, red and crimson. It produces fruit in about 120 days, a real novelty. For best results, grown in a hot sunny spot - they prefer a rich, free draining compost or soil.

Daucus carota
Carrot Early Nantes is an excellent variety for early and successional crops producing uniform long, smooth skinned, blunt-ended roots. The flavour is outstanding. Sweet tasting with a fine flavour. Grows well in any open position on a light, rich soil which has not been recently manured. Early Nantes is a prolific cropper even in heavy soils. Ideal for deep freezing.

Lettuce All Year is a great favourite producing tasty, tender greeen leaves. It is very hardy, needs little attention and produces tight solid hearts. Sow seed tape sections at two weekly intervals for a continuous supply. Your first harvest will be ready around 12 weeks from sowing.
