Just to keep you quiet types looking a little harder, these are the crab apple seedlings i started again in spring '09 . Tortured and twisted to make some magic trunks for the future .I was informed buy some knowledgable horticulturalists that the strike rate of Crab Apples is about 3 in 100 .Hate to dissapoint them but out of 800 seeds planted i managed 200 plants .Along way from the Guru's calculations .

I have also managed to strike some old wood cutting as thick as 35mm using Willow Water as a hormone stimulant .I did notice during the cutting process that older wood strikes and roots more readily then young growth cuttings
