This is my last big tree before they carve me up .Blown down in a storm the caretakers assisted with the loading into my trailer for a quick trip home .To pot the monster up I needed to trim the root ball to a user friendly size and make a custom made training box 850mm x 850mm x 450mm using aged ply so the fumes emitted from the glues don't effect the tree.

Due to the weight of the trunk 300kg collected estimated 200 - 250kg potted i used metal strapping to reinforce the box so the weight and compression doesn't blow it apart . i simply sipped it off the back of the trailer with a big lever and where it landed it sits .Iused 150lts of potting mix to tuck this in nice and snug .

Hi Taffyman its a 2 man tree , well 4 at the moment but i will reduce it slightly with the trusty Stihl to a more compact 100kg tree .
