Watering - Crocus like to be kept moist, but do not like being waterlogged. Fertilising - Animal manure, blood and bone, or a complete fertiliser should be worked through the soil before planting. Lifting and storage - Bulbs can be left undisturbed for many years. Can be dug after the foliage has died down, if required. Store in a dry, airy position. Pests - Bait snail and slugs. If aphids appear spray with insecticide. Tips - Plant up to twice as deep in areas with mild winters.
