Climbing Plants

Climbing plants have many different uses in the garden. They are great for hiding fences and sheds, they can be used to add colour to a fence line or smaller climbers can be used in the garden or containers with a simple frame to climb. Climbers are a great way to add a lot of colour without using a lot of space.

Delicate climbing plants like Clematis can be allowed to wander through trees and shrubs where they add splashes of colour in surprising places while more substantial climbers such as Wisteria need a more solid structure to support them. Some climbers such as the native Hibertia can be used as a ground cover. Climbers such as Jasmine can fill the garden with perfume when they flower.
