Malus domestica ' Dwarf Granny Smith' is budded on dwarf root stock, growing 35-40% of the normal size making this Apple tree very suitable for smaller gardens. Granny Smith apples have a crisp flavour with a tart-tang to it and bright green skin.

One of the best apples for just eating and a very good cooking apple because of its ability to retain flavour.  Fruits January to May, first fruit when tree is 3 years old.  Requires a full sun position, likes regular deep watering when dry and complete fertilizing in winter.

Another apple must be planted nearby for cross-polination ( Golden Delicious is the ideal cross pollinator).
